Needle roller bearingsNeedle roller bearings have elongated cylinders as rolling elements. Needle roller bearings have smaller radial dimensions than other cylindrical roller bearings, but more length. They are therefore suitable for use in restricted spaces. The applications of needle roller bearings are simular to that of ball bearings. The difference is in the speed and load. A needle bearing is better resistent to high loads (because there is a line-shaped contact instead of a point-shaped contact), but less resistent to high speeds.
