This week we visited a German customer who produces cable sheaves. These sheaves are used for carrying and guiding a cable on an offshore ship. They have a diameter of 800mm and all contain a QBS bearing type SL04 5020 PP or SL04 5032 PP.

These full complement cylindrical roller bearings from QBS are designed for high loaded applications.  This kind of roller bearings have no cage so consist of an inner- and outer ring and contain a maximum number of rollers. In this way they can carry heavier loads than other type of bearings with the same size.

Full complement cylindrical roller bearings are only suitable for low speed applications, so ideal for these cable sheaves.

They developed a machine for processing sludge, which is transported over a filter plate by rotating, oval discs. Here the water is separated from the sludge. Thanks to a chain drive, the oval discs move relative to the filter plate, so that a sludge cake remains at the rear of the machine.

This large size QBS bearing was delivered this week to a big chemical company located in Germany. The deep groove ball bearing 618/1180 MA has a diameter of 1.45 m.

We recently supplied QBS bearing units type UCP 214 for a conveyor belt underneath this loading bunker for the company Konings Transportbanden. This loading bunker makes it possible to simply unload materials and then quickly transport them using a conveyor belt.

A loading bunker is very suitable for various kinds of soil such as peat for which this specimen will be used. The so-called hopper of the loading bunker is almost always tailor-made for the customer.
